Its goals are to develop a leading international cluster of bio-product industries, in order to produce and transform biomass into bio-products and to boost Lleida’s economic development as a bio-region devoted to promoting eco-innovation

The cluster of bio-product industries has the following objectives:
- To promote the creation of bio-product industries
- To create a network of the bio-industries located in the region and to encourage cooperation between the research centres.
- To furnish information services
- To develop new projects within the bio-products sector
- To promote Research and Development in the bio-products sector
- To lead the promotion and circulation of the cluster both nationally and internationally
